Oxygen pipe degreasing
For the implementation of the project for the reconstruction of the old and the construction of a new acid pipeline, the length is 2.5 km, with a working pressure of 2.5 MPa, diam. 426 ... 820 mm, a technology was developed and introduced for degreasing pipes with environmentally friendly water-washing solutions (the active components of the solutions are certified in Ukraine) in special bathtubs made according to a project developed by specialists of the construction company “Olvia”.
To improve the characteristics of the washing solution in the baths, automatic heating and mixing of the solution without the participation of human manual labor is provided.
Hydraulic Pipe Etching
To prepare the pipes of the hydraulic system of industrial equipment before installation, the technology of pipe etching by environmentally friendly water-washing solutions without the use of acids was developed and introduced (the active components for the preparation of solutions are certified in Ukraine).
Flushing hydraulic pipes
When installing hydraulic pipes for industrial equipment, our specialists developed a technological program for washing large diameter hydraulic pipes, more than 100 mm, with a flow rate of washing fluid of 9 m / s.
Under this program, the design and manufacture of a set of washing stations capable of producing a flow volume of 4,600 l / min and a pressure of 21 MPa were completed.
Flushing of hydraulic pipes was performed in the following projects:
- Machine for continuous casting of blanks №4, MMK named after Ilyich, PJSC
- Installation of technological equipment and electrical work of the caster №2, ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih, PJSC

The filtration of the washing liquid occurs with the help of 5 μm / 20 μm filtering elements installed at the washing stations in the housings, which allow for quickly replace the filtering element with a clean one without draining the liquid from the system.

The characteristics of the fluid flow are monitored and regulated using a hydraulic unit consisting of the pressure regulator, non-return valve, and flow meter installed at each washing station.

The purity of the washing fluid is controlled by the readings of the measuring instrument for the purity of the washing fluid - FCU Express Laboratory (the device automatically measures and shows the purity of the washing fluid at a given time).
Device for experimental coating of roads
Specialists of the construction company “Olvia” together with concrete and aggregate manufacturers completed the design and construction work on the implementation of road sections for the passage of heavy freight industrial vehicles with different types of aggregate as an experiment.
The investigated section of the road was built on the territory of PJSC "ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih" on the principle of "puff pie". The underlying lower layer is of coarse slag, the upper one is fine. All layers were tamped and covered with waterproofing - a special film. An armature frame made of reinforcement was installed above the “pillow”, which was poured with three types of concrete. Steelmaking slag, blast furnace slag, and granite crushed stone were used as aggregate for three separate sections.
After 3 years of observation and successful test results, PJSC “ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih” came up with the initiative to amend the regulatory framework of Ukraine. A number of standards have been updated that now allow the use of slag from ferrous metallurgy in the production of heavy concrete. In particular, a new state standard for the design of roads was released, thanks to which the construction of concrete roads using slags was actually legalized.
