Gas ducts of the aspiration system of the sinter shop No. 2
The main task of sinter shop No. 2 is the production and transportation of sinter to ensure the operation of blast furnace No. 9. Construction company Olvia started work in the sinter shop No. 2 with the reconstruction of sinter machine No. 5. The work was carried out according to the working documentation developed by the Kryvbasproekt State Institute for Design of Mining Enterprises
Works on the reconstruction of sintering machine No. 5 were carried out in the conditions of the existing production. The results of hot tests confirmed the high quality of the work done and the professionalism of our specialists.
In total, during the reconstruction of sintering machine No. 5, there were:
- 2158 tons of equipment installed
- 4506 m3 of concrete laid
- 2756 tons of steel structures were assembled
- 526 tons of non-standard metal structures were assembled
Installation of the electrostatic precipitator of sintering machine No. 1
Thanks to the technically competent support provided by the employees of construction company Olvia during the reconstruction of sintering machine No. 5, PJSC ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih decided to conclude an additional contract with the company and transfer the design of sintering machines No. 1-4, together with the performance of general contracting work at these sites.
Reconstruction of the linear cooler section
To increase the efficiency of design and general construction works, we used the BIM design method, which made it possible to proceed with the phased implementation of work on the reconstruction of sintering machines No. 1-4 and reduce the start time for construction work by 3 months.

Reconstruction of sinter shop No. 2 is one of the largest environmental upgrades at the plant. Despite the delay in the development of project documentation for more than 5 months, all structures were manufactured and assembled within the required deadlines. The launch of the production line was carried out according to the approved schedule, reaching the design capacity and reducing emissions into the atmosphere in accordance with environmental standards.
After the reconstruction of the 5th sintering machine, the customer signed the largest contract for the last 20 years of the enterprise, for the reconstruction of 4-1 sintering machines with a set of design works.
